It is with a heavy heart we bid a fond farewell to piper Alex Lumsden, who is graduating from North Carolina State University and beginning a new career out of state.
Alex has been a member of our band since 2016. She came into the band after private lessons with Pipe Sergeant John Schodtler and quickly became a cornerstone within our ranks. We — your fellow band members appreciate everything you have done for us during your time with the band.
Like many members of the Class of 2019 -- she is a leader, dreamer, doer and a person who will change the world. We can't wait to see where she will go next...
