The Piper's TavernCongratulations Jimmy Powers and Dan Hurley – the owners of The Piper’s Tavern (8304 Falls of Neuse Road – Raleigh) on 10 fine years.  Since 2008, Wake & District has been honored to share a pint or two with these fine fellas.   If you’re looking for a local pub with great food or to watch the Hurricanes in a comfortable environment, look no further. When you visit The Piper’s Tavern for the 1st time you will notice the casual and friendly atmosphere.

The buzz of lively conversation coming from the patrons at the bar and the families in the dining areas instantly make you feel at home.

The Piper’s Tavern is a unique blend of Sports Bar, a Family Neighborhood Tavern and a traditional Irish pub.  Bringing good people, good friends and families together for good times and great food is what they are all about.

The Piper’s Tavern is a meeting place for all to gather, talk, sing , watch sports (on multiple flat screen TVs) enjoying the NHL, NFL and MLB packages.  Sports had to be a part of the theme since both Dan and Jimmy are enormous sports fans.  Jimmy Powers ended his professional hockey career here in Raleigh and made it his home.  He has been a part of the community and contributor (time and effort) to Youth Hockey in the Raleigh, Durham area for nearly two decades!  Dan relocated his family to the Raleigh/Durham and made this their home after taking a position at the Capital City Club.
