On Friday, 06 August 2010 the band came back from its summer break to the sound of thunderous applause on stage in Wilson, NC. The first Friday of each month the Wilson County Library celebrates on the Lawn in Downtown Wilson for a free community concert, family entertainment and educational opportunities (because of the heat and threat of storms the lawn was thanfully replaced with an indoor, air-conditioned stage). The Wilson community comes together to relax, enjoy and get to know each other a little better – using music and festivities to bring diverse community together.

August 6th was “International Night” and featured the traditional music of the pipes and drums; it was also a night recognizing America’s Night Out Against Crime where police and the community partner together. Did we mention we had belly dancers open for us?

THANK YOU to the band members and family members for coming out to play and support the band back together after our summer recess. With the exception of a couple wrong notes in the Military Medley, the band looked and sounded FANTASTIC.
