Home / Band News / Let the Shenanigan’s Begin…

Many of our fellow police/fire bands are affiliated as Emerald Societies or Irish Pipe Bands while many of our competing pipe band friends fancy themselves as Scottish or traditional pipe bands..  Be it Irish, Scottish, English or Celtic – we at Wake & District simply enjoy playing bagpipe and drum tunes which make occasions such as the high holy season of all things Saint Patrick even more thrilling.

Providing the skirl of bagpipes and drums in the bonnie Carolinas is something we cherish and treasure sharing with others – and plan on doing so throughout the month of March.  For the 4th year in a row we will be marching in the North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and we are looking forward to being on parade with our friends from the Ceol Na Gael Irish Pipe Band and meeting new friends from the New York Shields Pipes and Drums.  We always end our night at home in Raleigh.  Without further ado, let the shenanigan’s of all things Irish begin!

Here are some highlights of what we have going on this month – but be sure to visit our schedule to see exacly where and when we will be…
