NCSU Pipes and Drums at the 4th Annual Tartan Ball

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the band at our 4th Annual Tartan Ball which was held on Friday, November 13th at the Downtown Raleigh Sheraton Hotel. This party could not have been pulled off without the organizational endeavors of JASON LANE.

The night began with the crowing of the QUEEN OF THE TARTAN BALL – Ms. Annie Nice – who has been a ally of the band since day one. Without the support of community members like Annie and her circle of friends Wake & District would most certainly not be where we are today. The band is truly grateful to the Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance, the Jo Moore and Pat Johnson Scottish Dancers, the Scottish Country Dancers and the NCSU Pipes and Drums. A special guest was also in the band’s ranks – Pipe Sergeant in absentia Bud!

Most importantly – thank you to all of our family members and friends who have supported the band since our first performances in 2006; we’ve come a long way together.
