Home / Band News / Deputy Warren Lewis – At Rest

Everyone that has ever worn the badge, or had a family member who wears one, knows that the ultimate sacrifice might be asked of them. We know that in an instant, any assignment can turn into danger, then death, then unending sorrow. When a police officer dies in the line of duty it is a tragedy for the entire community, but it is forever a memory of fellow police officers and their families.

On behalf of the members of the Wake & District Public Safety Pipes & Drums – we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Nash County Deputy Warren Lewis who was killed in the line of duty on Thursday, 09 June 2011.

The band has been requested to play at the graveside service on Monday June 13th @ 2 pm. We will be meeting and staging at the Middlesex Police station located at 10201 South Nash St in Middlesex.

The band will be playing at the graveside service which will be held at Middlesex Cemetery located a half mile south on town on hwy 231.
