Perseverance is required to perfect any skill.

Continuous effort is the key to unlocking our potential.  Since 2006 the Wake & District Public Safety Pipes and Drums have been steadfast in fulfilling our mission and perfecting our skills. The band is a volunteer group – and our dedication continues to shine – all the way through and leading up to our Fall Fling on November 3, 2012 at the Downtown Raleigh Sheraton. To our family, friends and fans – we hope you enjoyed the party; we sure did. Please know we cannot walk this road without all of you. We extend our sincere gratitude to our family and friends for your continued support. The band was honored to share the floor the Triangle Scottish Dancers and the Inis Cairde Dancers – who have stood by our side since our first fling at the Raleigh Fire Club in 2006. A special thanks to Tir Na nOg and Anne Nice who have been our fans since the first time we walked into the pub and to Andrew Hoinacki for helping us act as if.

As another night of celebration comes to a close and another year comes to an end – we turn a corner and see another straight stretch ahead. We will continue on this journey steady in our beliefs and efforts knowing we can achieve our goals and continue to do all the right things for the right reasons.

We’ve done our part and as we journey ahead, a final word to everyone who continue to walk with us; we’re doing it. We haven’t been just marking time. We’re making a difference. We are making our community stronger, we’re making family and friends prouder, and we’re leaving behind good times for better times. All in all, not bad, not bad at all.
