coriOur 500+ mile, 72 hour Celtic Crucible is complete.  The madness commenced on Friday, 15 March at Flynn’s in North Myrtle Beach.  This was followed bright and early on the 16th of March as we lead the North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  After the parade we performed on two stages in downtown NMB and then headed home to Raleigh.  We were back home by 5:30 pm where we played Raleigh’s London Bridge followed by taking the street with the Nach Army and Annie Nice of Tir Na nOg  leading us through the the after parade cavalcade down Blount Street.

After taking the street at Woody’s (and crashing a wedding) some members  squeezed in a piping\drumming rickshaw ride downtown as we headed to Napper Tandy’s (there is video on youtube).

The madness continued on Sunday the 17th with sightings at Tilted Kilt (Raleigh), Bull McCabes (Durham), Pipers Tavern (Raleigh), Trali Irish Pub (Raleigh), and ending the night back at Woody’s City Market.

A sincere thank you to all of our band members for making the marathon. To our growing numbers of friends and fans – keep smiling and clapping and we will keep on playing 😉

Tir Na NOg Annie << we love you with all our hearts, we could not have done it without you.On behalf of the many members of Wake-District Pipes-Drums – we hope you had a memorable St. Patrick’s Day weekend…we sure did.
To the newlyweds whose wedding we crashed – CONGRATS!
