Wake & District was well represented at the 2012 Loch Norman Games by competing members in solos, Grade 5, Grade 4 along with a myriad of supporting band members, family members, friends and fans.  The morning solos landed Jacob Egen a 1st place finish in drumming.  The band’s Grade 5 band took to the field for the first time together placing 3rd overall.  Grade 4 had some highs and lows placing 7th overall in a field of 13 with our drummers placing 1st.

Congratulations to the North Atlanta Pipe Band (1st Place Grade 5), Upstate United Pipe Band (1st Place Grade 4) and the Atlanta Pipe Band (1st Place Grade 3) – and to all the bands who came out to support the Loch Norman games and the traditions of highland piping and drumming.

As the band’s program continues to grow – we remain focused on control and competence.  For the fingers, its execution.  For the mind, its expression and control.  For the body its posture and muscle independence.  For the instrument, its proper maintenance, tuning, and tone.

To all those folks who continue to support what we do – THANK YOU.  To those who are new to our family – WELCOME.

Things are getting bigger and better….

Some photos from the day can be seen here.
