CONGRATULATIONS to the competing members of Wake & District (including Bud for joining us in the circle) for a 3rd place finish in a field of 13 at the Stone Mountain Highland Games on 16 October 2010. This was by far the most competitive games the band has competed in since we started competing in 2008.

HUGE PROPS to our drum corps for taking FIRST –and kudos to Jacob and Melissa for their solo competitive endeavors << you two are doing GREAT. Thank you to all the pipers and drummers in the band for all of their hard work this season; we are keeping our fingers crossed that EUSPBA will approve our request for an upgrade to Grade 4. On behalf of the band – we would like to extend our congratulations to Ballantyne Memorial Pipe Band for taking first, Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band for taking second – and the Charleston Police Pipes & Drums for such a competitive season << we hope to see you with us in Grade 4 next year! A special thank you to Jerry Finnigan of the Atlanta Pipe Band for taking a little bit of time to help tune the pipers on the day << it made a noticeable difference Jerry and your support is always appreciated.
